Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Education

In the last two decades Manual Lymphatic Drainage(MLD) has become an increasingly popular treatment modality in health clinics, hospitals and the beauty industry. It also gained importance as a complementary addition to already existing modalities such as massage therapy, physiotherapy and beauty therapy.

In order to cater for this increasing demand Hands On Clinic developed unique 3- day courses based on the treatment method of Casley-Smith. This method has proven to be highly effective and beneficial for patients and easy to adapt for professional therapists.

All our courses are recognised by the Massage Association New Zealand (MNZ). Credit hours will be rewarded for ongoing professional development.

3-Day MLD Course - Level I

The three and four day Manual Lymphatic Drainage courses are designed for registered therapists in the area of physiotherapy, massage therapy and sports massage. Whilst anatomy and physiology are an essential and basic part of the training, the emphasis will be on the practical aspects of this modality. During the course, you will be taught the gentle and rhythmic hand techniques needed to perform a high quality, effective MLD treatment. You will be taught according to the following patterns:

  • Face & neck
  • Trunk
